We are looking for an Operations Manager - Embedded Charging Solutions, that will join a new venture within ABB E-mobility that is focused on an end-to-end managed offering that brings together hardware, software, and operational excellence into a unified service model. In this role, you will take full ownership of how entire charging networks perform, coordinating with partners, ensuring impeccable reliability, and driving an exceptional driver experience. You’ll design the systems, processes, and structures that allow us to scale successfully across Europe and North America. This is a builder role for someone who turns ambition into repeatable blueprints and makes world-class managed charging a reality.
What you will do:
- Lead cross-stakeholder coordination for site deployments (e.g. rollouts, refurbishments, site transitions), working with client teams, field service providers, engineering partners to ensure deliverables, manage timelines and control risks.
- Drive performance of client electrical vehicle charger sites and serve as primary operations contract: own key operational metrics, analyse faults, manage corrective actions, and define/ enforce SLAs internally and externally, and drive continues improvement alongside AI tooling integration.
- Work closely with customers to roll out ambitious Energy Management and Battergy Energy management Storage System (BESS) integration projects, supporting grid optimisation and flexibility initiatives.
- Develop a partner ecosystem of trusted engineering, installation, and maintenance partners across markets.
- Apply your operational domain knowledge to support business and commercial growth, also across new geographies (i.e. from customer support coverage to CPMS configuration and payment compliance, before the first client goes live).
- Take ownership of unit economics within your operational domain with a laser focus on scalability and profitablity of our offering.
- Create automated tooling (dashboards, playbooks, escalation paths) so that a small team can efficiently monitory large-scale networks and analyze operational data (via SQL) to derive insights and actions.
- Lead internal collaboration with product development teams so that tooling/ systems are integrated.
- Lead client-facing operational reviews, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Other essential requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations management or a related field.
- 5+ years of operations management experience.
- Proven track record in building and/or scaling operational processes from scratch.
- Strong fluency in SQL, you must be able to query data, explore patterns and validate hypotheses.
- Experience with data platforms, familiarity or experience with Databricks is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and stakeholders in parallel, delivering results with structure and clarity.
- Strong communicator and negotiator who builds effective relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
- Highly adaptable, fast learner with a strong bias for action—comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking ownership from gap identification to execution.
- Excellent communication (verbal& written) in English. An additional European language is preferred.
