We are looking for a Finance and Compliance Manager to join our Group Finance Team. In this global role you will help the organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal control, and governance processes. The ideal candidate has a detailed knowledge of SOX and COSO framework, strong business process acumen, excellent communication and critical thinking skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively across a range of internal and external partners. Your responsibilities :

  • Lead the internal control function and act as the “go-to” person for internal controls within the group and provide a reliable and insightful resource for implementing controls within a business process in an efficient and effective manner
  • Acting as a business partner, providing consultancy to operational managers to duly manage risks, maintain a robust internal control environment and while driving simplification and rationalization
  • Transform the Group’s internal control Framework to meet SOX requirements and implement a new external GRC tool in the next 2-3 years
  • Maintain process documentation, procedures and controls, including flowcharts (SAP Signavio) and Risk and Control Matrices with stakeholders
  • Provide creative input that will drive process efficiency across the organization and make valuable contributions to the audit process
  • Provide timely and proactive updates to Finance leadership team on key risks, gaps, process enhancements, or any areas of potential concern.
  • Partner with the IT organization teams to ensure alignment on SOX approach, timing, controls reliance, external audit reliance, etc.
  • Find opportunities to leverage IT solutions to automate processes and create efficiencies in financial processes and strengthen internal controls
  • Coordinate activities and strategies with internal and external auditors
  • Participate in the preparation of leadership and Audit Committee materials
  • Supporting on a variety of ad hoc finance projects as required 

  

Your background:

  • You have at least 6 - 10 years of work experience in finance, audit or internal control related areas. Big4 background would be an asset 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of implementing risk management, controls over financial reporting, and finance governance processes in a complex business environment 
  • University degree in accounting/finance or business, or relevant professional experience
  • Problem solver with strong management, communication and presentation skills
  • Solid understanding of internal controls methodology, practices ideally in a US and Swiss environment, with an excellent knowledge of business processes
  • Absolute integrity and trustworthiness to manage highly sensitive information.
