ABB E-mobility is seeking an Oklahoma based Field Service Engineer to commission new EV chargers, repair or maintain existing EV Chargers, and proactively identify customer’s service and spare parts needs. Our Field Service Engineers are critical to the success of our business; they consider ABB E-mobility AND customer standards, procedures, policies while never sacrificing safety, quality, or operational excellence. Target Salary Range for this position is: $80,000-$92,000 annual, depending on experience. This is an overtime eligible position
In this role, your main accountabilities will be:
- Travels approximately 80% of each month to customer locations; including regular overnight stays depending on site location.
- Commission, configure, maintain, and repair complex EV charging equipment.
- On site advocate for ABB E-mobility Services; striving to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction in all transactions and relationships.
- Creates technical documentation for learning library and completes support paperwork and reports in a timely fashion.
- Harmoniously collaborates with remote technical support teams, spare parts, and key account managers to identify best solutions, create maintenance plans, identify spare parts suggestions, and more.
To make this work, we need the following:
- Associate’s degree or military experience and 3+ years in Field Service OR High School Diploma with 5+ years in Field Service.
- Demonstrated success working in fast-paced environment, learning new ways of working, and technical proficiency in electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Track record of working autonomously, meeting deadlines, and triaging competing priorities
- Knowledge of the EV charging industry is a plus.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US – This position is not authorized for sponsorship or relocation.
