ABB E-mobility is seeking a Lead Data Quality Assurance to join our Digital Operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across our analytics, reporting, and BI systems. You will design and execute data quality test plans, investigate and resolve data issues, and partner with BI, engineering, and business teams to strengthen our data governance practices.
Target Salary Range for this position is: $95,000-105,000 USD
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define and execute data quality test plans in Azure DevOps Test Plans to validate data pipelines, reports, and dashboards
- Monitor data sources and pipelines to identify, document, and resolve data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies
- Develop and maintain data validation rules, quality checks, and ongoing monitoring processes across reporting systems
- Collaborate with BI analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to define data quality standards and acceptance criteria
- Investigate root causes of data quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement long-term fixes
- Document data quality processes, test results, and known issues for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Support continuous improvement of data governance practices and quality assurance frameworks
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, computer science, or a related field
- A few years of experience in data quality assurance, data testing, or data analytics
- Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans, or similar test management tools
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Experience with Databricks is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication skills, being able to simplify analytical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Can transform complex business problems into data quality challenges
