ABB E-Mobility is seeking an experienced and adaptable IT Engineer to join our global IT team. This role is focused initially on supporting a diverse portfolio of business-critical applications across our production, logistics, HR, and engineering domains. Over time, the position will expand to include key responsibilities in building and operating our standalone Microsoft infrastructure—including Active Directory, Azure, Intune, Teams, Exchange, and VMware. We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in Microsoft enterprise environments, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and the ability to learn new applications quickly. Prior experience supporting our exact stack is not required, but a proven ability to operate effectively in complex, cross-functional environments is.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support (Primary Initial Focus)

• Serve as a technical support resource for a range of enterprise applications, including but not limited to:
• ERP & MES: SAP S/4HANA, SAP DMC, Redwood RunMyJobs, Zerynth
• HR & Identity: SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Fieldglass, SecurityWeaver / Pathlock, JayCloud
• Warehouse & Production: Stockager, Nicelabel/Bartender, Taggy EVI, ProPlanner, Jungheinrich LIF, Sedapta
• Engineering Tools: Oracle PLM Cloud, PLECS, TaMa EVI
• Document & Comms: OpenText, WebPortal CMS, Cisco UCM, Imagicle, LG Digital Signage
• Supporting Tools: VMware Workspace ONE (POC), ID Bridge Murata, internal print server systems
• Perform day-to-day support, triage, and resolution of application-related issues
• Partner with business users and vendors to troubleshoot problems and drive issues to closure
• Maintain clear documentation for processes, known issues, and user guidance
• Assist with basic configuration, permissions, and user onboarding where applicable

Infrastructure Support & Growth Path

• Contribute to the design and implementation of ABB E-Mobility’s independent IT infrastructure:
• Active Directory and Group Policy
• Azure AD (Entra ID), Intune, Autopilot, and Endpoint Security
• Microsoft Teams (voice configuration, Direct Routing, Teams Rooms)
• Exchange Online and Proofpoint integration
• VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, provisioning, backup, and performance tuning)
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, and system health
• Collaborate with IT leadership to support long-term IT strategy and roadmap execution

Your Background

• 10+ years of experience in IT engineering, system administration, or infrastructure support
• Strong experience with Microsoft technologies, including:
• Active Directory / Azure AD (Entra ID), Conditional Access, MFA, GPO
• Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, Defender for Endpoint
• Exchange (2016–2019/Online), Proofpoint, and mail security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Microsoft Teams (voice integrations, policies, call flows)
• Solid understanding of VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, migrations, HA)
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Ability to ramp quickly on new business applications and systems
• Comfortable operating independently while collaborating across global teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft 365 Certifications (Endpoint Administrator, Teams Voice, Azure Administrator)
• VMware VCP or equivalent practical experience
• Familiarity with enterprise applications in ERP, MES, HRIS, or manufacturing environments
• Experience supporting Cisco UCM, OpenText, or Oracle PLM
• ITIL Foundation or experience in process-oriented support environments
