Take your next career step at ABB E-Mobility with a global team that is energizing the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future. As Head of Service Operations for North America, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of service operational processes across the region. You ensure that service order handling, invoicing, spare parts management, and refurbishment activities are executed efficiently, transparently, and fully aligned with global processes. All activities are carried out in close alignment with the global service operations framework, working closely with the Global Head of Process and the Global Head of Spare Parts.

This is a remote role, based in the US

Target annual salary range: 145,000-160,000 + annual performance bonus

In this role your main accountabilities will be:

Service Order Handling & Invoicing

• Lead and develop the NAM Service Order Handling team (2-3 employees) responsible for service work orders, spare parts orders, training orders, and related service activities.

•   Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of service orders in line with global standards.

•   Oversee invoicing activities for all NAM service-related transactions.

•   Resolve escalations related to order handling and invoicing discrepancies.

•   Drive continuous improvement of service administration processes.

Spare Parts Operations

• Own and manage spare parts operations across North America including 2-3 employees.

•   Lead parts planning to ensure optimal stock levels and availability.

•   Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of spare parts.

•   Execute regular spare parts audits.

•  Manage spare parts audits and inventory controls for partners and contractors. Refurbishment Strategy & Execution (NAM & Global)

Refurbishment Strategy & Execution (NAM & Global)

•   Develop and implement a North America and global refurbishment strategy.

•   Define the organizational setup required to support refurbishment.

•   Develop the strategic framework and integration with service operations.

•   Own the financial model for refurbishment activities.

•   Coordinate with global stakeholders to standardize refurbishment processes.

To make the above work, we need a sales leader with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in service operations, supply chain, logistics, or asset management.
• Proven leadership experience managing operational teams; 2+ years direct team management preferred.
• Strong understanding of service order management and invoicing processes.
• Solid experience in spare parts planning, inventory management, and audits.
• Experience in refurbishment or reverse logistics is a strong advantage.
• Experience in automotive aftersales operations is a strong plus.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and a structured, detail-oriented, and process-focused mindset.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (~15–20%).
