As the (Senior) Channel Marketing Manager Europe you are part of the European Regional Marketing team within the Marketing & Communications functions at ABB E-mobility .

 

With Marketing & Communications being established as a centralized function, you will have the opportunity to be part of building and shaping the discipline. You will be a true partner to the Regional and Channel Sales teams in Europe. We are accountable to—and responsible for—driving enablement, contributing to revenue and relationships with our ecosystem of customers, prospects, and partners.

The role is based in Delft, NL and will report into the Global Head of Regional Marketing


The role requires willingness to travel across Europe.

 

In this role your main accountabilities will be:  

You will work closely with our Regional Team (specifically the Channel Sales Team), our Product Portfolio Marketing Team, our as well as other functions across Marketing and Comms teams to align channel marketing efforts with revenue goals and priorities. With Channel Marketing being a relatively new discipline within the Marketing team, you will work closely with the M&C Leadership Team as well as the Channel Sales Leader in the Region and your counterpart in North America to develop the blueprint for that discipline.

 

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of ABB E-mobility’s value propositions, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape to craft impactful marketing initiatives
  • Design and implement robust channel marketing strategies that align with our business objectives, focusing on boosting market penetration, enhancing brand visibility, and driving revenue growth across various distribution channels. In the next phase, develop a strategic co-marketing and enablement plan for our largest alliance partner
  • Partner closely with our product marketing team to create and deliver training programs to educate channel partners on how we solve customer problems, benefits product features, and joint value messages. - Tailor campaigns to resonate with different partner types and their respective target audiences
  • Assist in establishing key performance indicators (KPI) to track and measure the effectiveness of channel marketing campaigns and programs, analyzing results and making data-driven decisions 
  • Plan and execute partner-focused events, such as workshops, webinars, lunch and learns, and work in collaboration with our events team on co-sponsored trade shows


Who are you:

The (Senior) Channel Marketing Manager will play a key role in contributing to the success of our channel ecosystem by building and executing a partner focused marketing strategy across our channel ecosystem including ABB Electrification, Distributors and Buying Groups. We’re looking for someone with a “customer first”  mindset, being in expert in the industry we operate in and knowing our portfolio and our offering by heart. You enjoy building foundational partner marketing programs across multiple partner types but having experience in navigating strategic partnerships and having experience in creating  co-marketing strategies .

 

You enjoy building both deep and wide channel marketing programs to attract partners into a thriving ecosystem and grow share of wallet. You have a proven track record in working cross-functionally across sales and  marketing teams, and love both building from scratch and iterating on current programmatic elements. You are skilled at building partner enablement communications, creating integrated co-marketing programs, hosting events and building deep and trusted relationships with your partner counterparts.

 

As a Channel Marketing Manager you are a true partner across the organization to design programs, processes and enablement that feed our funnel and open opportunities.


The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • University degree in Marketing or Business Administration. Minimum of 8+ years experience in a B2B (Saas) Marketing experience with a minimum of 4 years focused channel/ partnership marketing aligned role or product marketing with responsibilities for channel programs
  • Experience in developing and executing partner focused marketing plans for  mid-size and large strategic partners including demand generation, lead nurturing, and brand awareness campaigns
  • Familiarity with channel partner ecosystems and an understanding of how to effectively manage and collaborate with partners. - Deep understanding of tailoring your marketing approach to different audiences including industry-specific messages, marketing and customer success personas as well as decision maker and practitioner
  • Experience with MarTech tools including: Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, etc
  • Experience with marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity
