What you will do:
This role sits at the center of professionalizing and scaling finance into a true engine for value creation — delivering sharper insights, stronger performance management and better decision support. A key part of the mandate is building a forward-leaning, AI-driven team that uses data, automation and AI as practical tools, not buzzwords. More specifically:
- Serve as a senior sparring partner to the CFO, Executive Team and business leaders, delivering fact-based insights on performance, risks and value drivers
- Translate financial analysis into concrete recommendations that improve revenue, margin, cash flow and enterprise value
- Constructively challenge business plans and decisions with a commercial mindset
- Own the full budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning cycle, including high-quality variance analysis and scenario modelling
- Ensure leadership always has a clear view of performance, assumptions, risks and required actions
- Transform Business Finance into a modern, insight-led function using data, analytics, automation and AI
- Automate recurring reporting and forecasting to free up capacity for higher-value analysis and decision support
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools and build team capability in data literacy, analytical thinking and financial modelling
- Partner with Finance Transformation, IT and business teams to build scalable analytics solutions and a single trusted view of performance
- Lead and develop an international team of Finance Business Partners and FP&A professionals
- Build a high-performance culture: analytical, proactive, commercially oriented and accountable
- Coach team members to grow as business partners and value creators, with clear roles, priorities and deliverables
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across finance, commercial, operations and technology
- Turn complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives that drive decisions
- Prepare high-quality materials for the Executive Team, Board and shareholders — ensuring all reporting is decision-useful, not just accurate
What you will bring:
You are a seasoned finance leader with a strong commercial instinct/passion. You combine rigorous analytical thinking with the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders, and the leadership skills to build and inspire a high-performing international team. You are hands-on, structured and action-oriented — and you are genuinely excited about using AI and automation to make finance smarter, faster and more impactful.
More specifically, we are looking for a professional that brings:
- Significant FP&A, business finance or commercial finance experience, including leading international teams
- Deep understanding of P&L, margin dynamics, cash flow and value drivers, with strong analytical skills across modelling, scenario analysis and performance diagnostics
- Experienced in budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and management reporting, with direct exposure to senior executives and board-level reporting
- Able to translate complex financial data into clear insights and actionable recommendations, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Practical experience using AI, automation and analytics to modernise finance and move away from manual, spreadsheet-heavy ways of working
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Data/Analytics or related field; additional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, CMA or MBA are a plus
- Background in technology, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, automotive or high-growth international business preferred
- Hands-on, pragmatic and results-driven; able to create structure without bureaucracy in a high-growth, scale-up environment
