As Embedded Test Engineer, you will be the gatekeeper for best-in-class software quality and reliability for our EV charging technologies. You design and execute test cases, identify and troubleshoot defects. Together with your team and other stakeholders, you strive towards delivering highly sophisticated software tests while meeting our competitive timelines. 

 

You will be part of the Global Software Test Team, location Delft. You will also have colleagues based in other parts of the world, bringing a diverse set of cultures and skills. You will report to the Global Software Test Lead. Will you answer the call to be the heart and soul of our daily software innovations?

 

What you will do:

  • Developing test plans and strategies, considering both hardware and software components.
  • Create detailed test cases and test scripts to validate functionality, performance and reliability of the EV chargers.
  • Execute test cases manually, and where applicable, automate tests to improve efficiency.
  • Investigate, isolate, and document issues and defects. Collaborating with software developers to solve the issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test cases and result, and generate comprehensive test reports for project stakeholders.
  • Keep an eye out for bottlenecks, and collaborate with other departments and the customer to optimize system performance.

 

What you will bring:

To make the above work, we are looking for a detail-oriented, tech savvy, and open-minded professional. More details:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or any other relevant field. 
  • 3+ years of experience as embedded test engineer or software test engineer in an electrotechnical environment (testing on hardware).
  • Experience in writing test plans and cases
  • Experience in Azure DevOps is preferred
  • You are an agile and flexible professional, who always goes the extra mile in experimenting and finding innovative solutions. You love to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, full of change. Driven to achieve tight goals, and motivated by the mission of the organization you are involved with. 
  • Strong written & verbal communication in English
