We're looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for a key role, with deep expertise in complex charging systems and a track record of delivering robust solutions. You'll challenge unnecessary complexity, champion smarter architectures, and navigate tough engineering trade-offs — taking ownership of complex features from design through implementation while guiding your team with technical excellence and proactive leadership.

You'll shape the software backbone of our next-generation EV charging infrastructure — leading the design and implementation of comprehensive test frameworks and testing solutions across the full product lifecycle, from architecture and requirements through implementation, integration, verification, release, and field support. Working independently on critical features while elevating the entire team's technical capabilities, you'll help build the charging technology that will power tomorrow's mobility.

What will you do:

• Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive test frameworks and solutions, owning the full lifecycle from requirements and architecture through execution, integration, verification, release, and field support.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership by building and architecting low-level Python and C++ testing solutions, challenging assumptions, reducing unnecessary complexity, and proposing smarter approaches to enhance product quality.
• Drive timely decisions when teams are blocked, requirements are unclear, or architecture and implementation trade-offs need to be resolved in test automation.
• Work closely with requirements engineers, product owners, hardware engineering, and field support to define high-quality requirements and deliver reliable testing solutions for complex hardware/software products.
• Define testing scope, estimates, plans, and delivery priorities for new testing capabilities and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure testing practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing enable maintainable frameworks and effective test execution across the team.
• Remain hands-on with development while guiding other engineers to implement, improve, and automate tests, setting a high bar for technical quality and ownership.

What you will bring:

You are a seasoned software professional with a passion for owning solutions from design to implementation. You enjoy cross-functional collaboration, and you are genuinely excited about driving innovative and impactful decisions. Furthermore, we ask for:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Informatics, Computer Science, Industrial Science, or a related technical field, with a strong understanding of embedded systems and the ability to see the overall solution.
• Proficiency in embedded Python and C/C++ programming, with hands-on experience building and architecting test solutions and frameworks across complex systems.
• Strong ownership and a proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges, translate requirements into technical designs, and drive them through implementation with precision.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and software development practices that enable scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and align stakeholders.
• Ability to write Shell scripts in Linux and work effectively in Unix-based environments (considered an advantage).
• Familiarity with EVSE charging protocols and interfaces such as ISO 15118, DIN 70121, CCS, and CHAdeMO, demonstrating understanding of industry-specific challenges (considered an advantage).
• Knowledge of Rust programming language (considered an advantage).
