Are you a field service, maintenance or EV charging technician who wants to put your electrical expertise into remote diagnostics?
At ABB E-Mobility, you'll join the team that monitors and troubleshoots thousands of fast chargers across Europe. You stay at the heart of the technical work, with far less time on the road: only 0–25% travel, for interventions or training.
What you'll do
Remote diagnostics & troubleshooting (~70%)
- Diagnose faults on DC chargers: component level diagnostics, hardware failures, power electronics, communication issues, abnormal behaviour.
- Pinpoint root causes from alarms, logs and monitoring data, without being on site.
- Guide field technicians and service partners step by step during installation, commissioning and repairs.
- Handle escalations from field teams across Europe within contractual SLAs.
Documentation (~20%)
- Write and update troubleshooting procedures and technical guides.
- Record diagnostics and customer communications in our case management tools.
Continuous improvement (~10%)
- Spot recurring faults and feed them back to product and quality teams.
On-call weekend rotations during normal working hours, planned in advance, shared across the team and compensated, expected 3-5 days in a month.
Your profile
- Background in electrical engineering, electromechanics, electronics or industrial maintenance: Bac pro, BTS, DUT/BUT, Licence pro or Titre professionnel. Hands-on experience counts as much as the degree.
- 2–3 years in field service, maintenance or technical support on electrical equipment: EV chargers, UPS/inverters, solar, elevators, industrial systems, telecom infrastructure…
- Solid electrical fundamentals (low voltage, DC, power systems). An electrical safety certification (habilitation électrique) is a strong plus.
- Fluent English and French, written and spoken. You'll work daily with teams across Europe in English, and all documentation is in English.
- Comfortable with IT tools; Linux and monitoring platforms are a plus. We'll train you on our systems.
- Organised, able to handle several cases in parallel, and able to explain a fault in simple terms.
