General information
As Trade & Transport Specialist, you play an important role in supporting the business functions/ business excellence center to ensure goods are shipped whilst meeting quality, legal and cost parameters. You develop, maintain and improve transport/ logistics processes to optimize inbound and/ or outbound product and material delivery to external and internal clients. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, which is based in Eindhoven. The team brings a diverse set of skills and cultures. Together, they strive for optimization of the back-end operations and do this in collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities
- Ensure on-time shipment execution by coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries, monitoring lead times, and proactively resolving deviations or missing information in logistics systems.
- Manage daily order processing and scheduling activities, including SAP delivery creation, 3PL WMS coordination, order tracking, and resolution of operational irregularities.
- Coordinate with forwarders and external partners to book shipments, handle transport documentation, and resolve delivery issues such as delays, damages, or missing paperwork.
- Support transport planning and procurement by preparing RFQs, selecting appropriate transport modes, and coordinating special shipments (e.g., cross-dock, drop shipments, urgent orders).
- Maintain accurate logistics data and financial administration by managing master data, supporting KPI reporting, processing invoices, and driving continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems.
Your background
3+ years of experience in trade and transport
Minimum MBO degree (secondary vocational education) in a relevant field (e.g. Logistics)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Advanced knowledge of SAP is an advantage plus
A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
Good communication skills (written & verbal) in Dutch & English
