ABB E-mobility is actively enabling the EV revolution, and we're looking for a Field Service Engineer based in the Madrid area to be part of it. You'll be the trusted expert on-site, commissioning cutting-edge EV chargers and keeping critical infrastructure running smoothly. This role combines hands-on technical work with genuine customer interaction - making you a key part of how we deliver world-class charging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Travelling daily to customer sites, with approximately 30% requiring occasional overnight stays ( Mainly domestic travel, with occasional assignments across Europe)
- Commission and configure EV charging equipment at customer sites across the region
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues with speed and precision
- Acting as the face of ABB E-mobility on-site, ensuring high customer satisfaction
- Spot opportunities to enhance customer solutions through maintenance and spare parts recommendations
- Documenting service activities and contributing to continuous knowledge sharing
- Collaborating remotely with technical support and internal teams
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of Field Service experience with a strong technical foundation (degree or professional training)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
- Independent, proactive mindset with a genuine "can-do" attitude
- Customer-focused approach and commitment to safety and quality
- Experience in EV charging is a plus.
