We are looking for a Global Payroll Team Leader to join the ABB E-mobility HR team in the payroll function. If you are talented and detail-oriented you may be our ideal candidate!
The Global Payroll Team Leader  is responsible for managing the ABB E-mobility global payroll processes via a global third-party payroll provider. This person will supporting  Global Payroll Manager to manage the outsourced payroll provider and a small, remote team of global payroll and HR administration specialists to deliver payroll across 17 countries. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of payroll and HR administration activities including payroll review, data accuracy, oversight of payroll administration processes, managing employee queries and assisting with the year-end audit preparation.
This position reports to  Global Payroll Manager.

In this role your main accountabilities will be:  

• Supports the end-to-end payroll, Time & Attendance, HR administration and Benefits administration process for all global employees working with the outsourced payroll provider
• Executes and delivers assigned HR Services in compliance with all standard operating procedures/policies or other procedures in place and according to defined Service Level Agreement(s)
• Delivers HR Service support to the HR community, managers and employees. Shows a customer service mind-set and a proactive way of working to serve customers with a “can do” attitude
• Recommends enhancements and simplification of existing processes and procedures based on feedback and experience with customers
• Communicates information regarding policies and standards on assigned processes to internal customers as needed
• Records and manages employee enquiries in an appropriate IT system (ticket tool)
• Performs data entry into appropriate systems as necessary for assigned HR Services. Maintains a high level of data quality and accuracy in the systems
• Provides on-demand reports related to the process, where required
• Prepares information and documents for external authorities (social security, income tax, etc.)
• Responsible for the documentation of standard operation procedures within the team
• Collaborate with management on payroll strategy to deliver a best-in-class payroll solutions
• Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for payroll are clearly defined, achieved, and measured regularly
• Review and approval of final payroll processes each pay period

To make the above work, we are looking for a senior professional who has strong leadership and problem solving abilities. Other essential requirements:  

• Experience working in a global organization is preferred and experience dealing with multiple countries
• Experience working with a global outsourced payroll provider (e.g. ADP)
• Proven Excel skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task and meet deadlines in a demanding detail-oriented environment
• Self-motivated, time efficient and proactive with ability to work under minimum supervision as part of a global team
• Enthusiastic team player with ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all stakeholders
• Five years of relevant payroll experience preferably with experience supporting HR, Benefits and/or Time Management
• Fluent English for Business
