ABB E-mobility is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the definition and development of operationally and financially performant EV charger software and support service products and support the development and on-going management of the ABB E-mobility software and services (AMP) P&L. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, strategy, finance, or corporate business development; a deep understanding of the EV market; and a strong track record of developing product and business plans and driving business growth.
US Target Salary Range: $145,000-$170,000 Annual + Bonus
- Work backwards from customer needs and problems and lead the definition of operationally and financially performant EV charger software and support products.
- Lead development of pricing strategy and develop associated pricing models for global customer support, diagnostics, field service delivery, spare parts, and SaaS.
- Develop pro forma financial models to inform decisions on SLA product implementation, business model and pricing (e.g., charger-based pricing logic vs. site-based vs. utilization-based).
- Identify and drive the development and management of demand and capacity planning models to achieve desired customer support service (SLA) performance requirements.
- Implement reporting and other mechanisms to drive P&L towards achievement of growth and financial targets.
- Support development of 1P and 3P AWS-style cloud-software ecosystem product strategy to meet customer needs including what is core and vertical-specific. Develop business case for investment in new 1P and 3P vertical software offerings including business model (e.g., pricing logic, revenue share, referral fees, etc.).
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in product management, strategy, finance, corporate business development with a focus on digital products and services.
- Experience developing pro forma financial and pricing models to drive/influence product and business decisions.
- Experience with activity-based cost accounting and product contribution margin analyses.
- Strong understanding of the EV market and related products and technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Travel up to 50% of the time across North America and Europe.
