We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join Hardware Team. If you are talented and with strong electrical implementation solutions you may be our ideal candidate! In this role you will be responsible for the design, localization of the hardware electrical section of EVI. In this role your main accountabilities will be:  

  • Under the guidance of hardware Manager to finish the design, localization of the hardware (power electronics, logical circuit and system component & accessories) section of different Electrical Vehicle Charger Infrastructure(EVI)
  • Work with global and local EVI team to finish the design, localization, and manufacturing of EVI
  • Assist project manager & system architect to cascade marketing requirements and propose feasible electrical implementations solutions.
  • Provide electrical inputs to other functional members in different RnD project phases - the power device loss, the interface logical /assignment, etc.
  • Document and archive all electrical deliverables according to RnD project management and maintain these files
  • A good electrical expert and provide technical support for other system design teams
  • Ensure adherence to ABB integrity and safety rules and regulations

 

To make the above work, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who is eager to learn, excellent communicator, responsible, and tech savvy. Other essential requirements:      

  • Ph.D., master’s or bachelor’s degree in power electronics, electrical engineering, automation control etc /Master’s degree above 3 years’ (>5years for a bachelor’s degree and >1 year for a Ph.D. degree) experience in an electrical position in the field of power electronics, international company with China design presence background is preferred.
  • Good understanding of the power electronics simulation and can use at least one of these simulation tools: PLECS, MATLAB, Saber, PSIM etc.
  • Have proven and successful history of high-power DC fast charger/ telecom rectifier/server power supply design background (>=3KW).
  • Good understanding of low voltage system components design includes but not limited to: EMI, breaks, relays, charger couplers etc
  • Results-oriented with good ability to collaborate with other infernal/external people
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Good English and Chinese communication skill
  • Computer skills (MS Office, Outlook)
