We are looking for an Associate Project Manager. In this role, you will contribute to external manufacturing (EMS) projects execution on a global scale, providing clear guidelines, defining tasks and milestones, and ensuring effective communication and motivation across all teams. You will be responsible for managing an efficient material flow to and from ABB locations, logistic in general, while considering global trade dynamics, particularly tariff trends in the US. Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure high-quality service delivery throughout the project lifecycle. You will also define and share comprehensive technical documentation packages with EMS partners to support flawless execution, being the bridge between them and ABB factory stakeholders in case of support needed.

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • Managing the development of project documents: production line layout and equipments, BOM, subassemblies, transfer prices for specific components.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Procurement to ensure the readiness of production.
  • Monitoring material flow from ABB to EMS locations and viceversa, custom clearance and logistic in general.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams (engineering, order handling, logistic, quality) to transfer the products to the external factories.
  • Management of potential excess and obsolete materials in EMS facilities.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Monitoring projects to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
  • Analyzing and addressing project risks, and regularly disseminating lessons learned.

 

Your background

 

  • An engineering/logistic background is mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of project management.
  • Knowledge of MS Project is a plus.
  • Good Knowledge of English and Italian language.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
