As a Senior Production Engineering Specialist, you will lead the definition, optimization, and industrialization of production processes, ensuring operational excellence across multiple manufacturing lines and sites. You will act as a technical reference within the organization, driving cross-functional alignment between R&D, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to deliver robust, scalable, and cost-effective production solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Industrialization & Process Design
- Lead the end-to-end industrialization of new products, from DfM validation to full-scale ramp-up.
- Define manufacturing concepts, layouts, and automation strategies, ensuring scalability and alignment with long-term capacity plans.
- Oversee CapEx planning, technical specifications, supplier selection, and project execution for new production assets.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards across all implemented processes.
2. Production Ramp-up & Operations
- Coordinate and supervise the production ramp-up phase to ensure a smooth transition to mass production.
- Support daily operations through structured problem-solving (8D, DMAIC), ensuring stable process capability and FPY improvement.
- Mentor production engineers and technicians in process control, documentation, and standardization (SOPs, work instructions).
- Drive cross-site alignment of best practices, standard work, and process governance.
3. Data Analysis & Process Optimization
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Identify improvement opportunities in cycle time, waste reduction, and automation through structured root cause and cost–benefit analysis.
- Develop and monitor key production KPIs and continuously improve manufacturing efficiency and robustness.
4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the production team.
- Scout and evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment.
- Drive cost reduction, cycle time improvement, and quality enhancement projects.
Your Background
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields).
- 5+ years of experience in production or industrial engineering, ideally in an international manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in process industrialization, line commissioning, and cross-functional project leadership.
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, BI tools, and statistical process analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills in multicultural environments.
- Working proficiency in English
Nice to Have:
- Experience with CAD tools and 3D model analysis (SolidWorks).
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing traceability tools.
- Familiarity with automation, robotics, or digital manufacturing platforms.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Previous involvement in cross-site or international projects.
