For ABB E-Mobility Technology Center located in San Giovanni Valdarno, we are looking for an R&D Senior Project Manager to take our new organization to the next level. In this role, you will be responsible for successful managing our project deliverables in ABB E-mobility for one or more projects within our global organization. You will lead in partnership with business managers, steering groups, product management and external parties and ensure value creation. As R&D Senior Project Manager you will be part of the process of taking the product from idea to implementation and realization. Your Responsibilities

• Manage complex projects and coordinate work and interdependencies between cross-functional workstreams to realize specified deliverables and benefits. You will lead your project team in a global environment
• As professional leader you will motivate and monitor internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. In fact, you will lead milestone meetings and steering committees to align, escalate and give transparency towards Management about project progress
• You will be responsible of managing the costs, scheduling, and performance objectives of the projects
• In this role you can really make a difference ensuring appropriate requirements within the projects by partnering both internally with relevant business unit/s and the management and externally with the customers (understanding their value in the projects and ensuring their satisfaction)
• You are called to maintain high standards on transparency around change requests, unforeseen results/events and identified risks and ensures that they are properly managed and communicated
• You will adapt and use methods like scrum and Kanban, sharing and enforcing them with the project team and the organization.
• As Project Manager All in One, you will develop, implement, and share project management requirements, processes, methods, techniques, tools, handbooks, and guidelines
   

Your background

• You graduated in Engineering or have technical/technological background (electrical engineering, software, power electronics or another).
• You have proven experience in managing and delivering several projects, preferable based on an embedded Hardware and Software stack.
• Previous working experience of leading and managing complex projects and coordinating the work of multi-location and cross-functional project teams is required.
• Relevant Project Management certifications, such as PMP, PMI, IPMA or equivalent highly desirable.
• At least 10 years work experience in managing product development projects in technical environments in international corporates 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian, with the ability to convey intricate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• You are a very clear communicator in English and have good communicational skills towards internal and external stakeholders.
• We need a stress resistant person with lots of flexibility and creativity in everyday activities.
• You have a problem-solving mentality with a strong drive and proactiveness.
• You can work independently and have strong personal motivation. You know how to capture and fix requirements as well as get commitment from different functional managers to partner with them in an efficient way.
