As Senior SAP Functional Analyst - Controlling, Product Costing & Material Ledger, you will own and continuously evolve the SAP Finance processes that sit at the heart of our manufacturing business. You will combine deep functional expertise with hands-on delivery, supporting a global SAP S/4HANA landscape across 16+ countries, driving improvements in costing, controlling, profitability analysis and financial close, while building the path toward a future Solution Architect role.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive and continuously improve SAP S/4HANA FI/CO processes across Product Costing, Material Ledger, Actual Costing, Controlling, CO-PA, General Ledger and period-end close, ensuring best-practice integration with SD and MM.
  • Design, configure and deliver new capabilities, enhancements and projects within SAP Finance, gathering business requirements, evaluating solution options, documenting design decisions and implementing scalable solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Own costing and inventory valuation processes, including Material Ledger, Actual Costing, costing runs, cost estimates, production order variance analysis, material cost flows and period-end activities in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure seamless Finance integration across the value chain, supporting revenue account determination, Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR), cost of goods sold, profitability analysis (CO-PA), inventory valuation and end-to-end financial process integrity.
  • Act as trusted advisor and business partner for Accounting, Reporting and Controlling stakeholders, translating operational and strategic requirements into effective SAP solutions and identifying opportunities for simplification, automation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead operational support and ticket management, triaging and resolving Level-2 issues in JIRA, collaborating closely with AMS partners, managing escalations, driving root-cause resolution and maintaining ownership of critical Finance operations, interfaces, workflows, reconciliations, batch jobs and closing activities.
  • Accelerate process innovation and user adoption, leveraging SAP capabilities such as Fiori, Joule, Accrual Engine, Continuous Accounting and Automated Financial Close while reducing recurring support demand through user enablement, coaching and training.
  • Serve as the key functional bridge between business users, IT teams and external partners, overseeing change requests, RICEFW specifications, testing activities, CAB approvals, go-live readiness, compliance requirements and providing delegate coverage for the Accounts, Cash & Treasury Finance Analyst role.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Technology or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of SAP functional experience within FI/CO, ideally as a Senior Functional Analyst, Functional Lead or similar role, with the ambition and potential to grow toward a Solution Architect career path.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA FI/CO, including Material Ledger, Actual Costing, Product Costing, inventory valuation, production order variances, period-end close and financial reporting, ideally gained in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of Finance integrations across SD, MM, CO and CO-PA, including revenue account determination, profitability analysis, cost flows, cost of goods sold and working knowledge of Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR).
  • Proven experience configuring SAP solutions and managing complex global environments, with the ability to gather requirements, create functional and technical designs, coordinate testing and work effectively with implementation and AMS partners.
  • Strong business-partnering, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences, facilitate discussions, influence decisions and drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Additional experience in areas such as SAP Tax, Thomson Reuters OneSource, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Fiori, Joule, Advanced Financial Closing, IFRS 15/16, S/4HANA transformations, SAP Cloud ALM, Signavio, WalkMe, Agile methodologies, SAP certifications or ABAP development will be considered a strong advantage; willingness to learn and expand expertise in these domains is equally valued.
