Your Responsibilities

 

This role is ideal for an accomplished engineer with expertise in test automation development in industrial environment. You will be responsible for refining testing processes and driving technical innovation to maximize the effectiveness of our testing function. Your key duties will include promoting technical growth, upholding software quality, and influencing product development to ensure that our testing practices remain industry-leading.

  • Strategy & Architecture: Define and implement test automation strategies that align with business and operational goals. Architect, design, and maintain scalable and robust automation frameworks. Evaluate and select appropriate tools and technologies, and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines to support efficient, continuous testing.
  • Technical Execution: Take a hands-on approach to developing test automation scripts and systems. Conduct code reviews, address technical challenges, and resolve complex issues related to test automation. Ensure high standards of code quality, monitor key testing metrics, and drive ongoing improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional partners, including R&D, product, and operations teams, to maintain alignment and effective communication. Contribute to resource planning and support project delivery as business needs evolve.
  • Champion Design for Testability: Build strong collaborative relationships with R&D software developers to embed testability into our products. Guide the transition from traditional test scripts to advanced embedded test functions and APIs, making our products inherently easier and more efficient to test.

 

Your Background

 

  • Degree in Engineering , Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Programming: Deep proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages such as, Python, or C# used for automation.
  • Automation Tools: Expertise in industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks, including Jtag, Postman/Rest Assured for API testing.
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Strong experience with version control systems like Git and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
  • Databases: Proficiency in SQL and data validation across various database platforms. Experience with Azure Data Analytics tools and cloud services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory for advanced data processing, integration, and reporting in test automation environments.
  • Testing Methodologies: Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and various testing types, including functional, non-functional, security, and performance testing.
  • HW knowledge and field experience in context of test automation
  • Experience with managing and utilizing test instrumentation, including configuring, calibrating, and integrating hardware devices within automated test environments.
  • Familiarity with protocols and tools for remote monitoring, control, and data acquisition enables efficient validation and troubleshooting of hardware components during automated testing.
  • Communication (Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders), Problem-Solving (Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to design complex solutions and troubleshoot system-wide issues), and Strategic Thinking (Ability to develop long-term strategies for the automation roadmap and understand how quality assurance supports overall product excellence) complete the profile.
