Your Responsibilities:

 

In our global footprint, this role is designed for a software developer who is not only a strong coder but also a strategic thinker, capable of influencing product design and elevating our testing practices. Your primary responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and Automate Manufacturing Test Routines: Design, code, and implement robust and scalable software routines for our automated test systems to validate product assembly and functionality, minimizing manual intervention. 

  • Champion Design for Testability: Forge a strong, collaborative partnership with our R&D software developers to embed testability into the core of our products. You will steer the evolution from traditional test scripts to sophisticated embedded test functions and APIs, making our products inherently easier and more efficient to test. 

  • Foster Technical Excellence: Actively contributes to refining our software development methodologies, tools, and coding standards to enhance efficiency and quality. 

  • Evolve Our Test Platform: Drive the definition, design, and implementation of our next-generation manufacturing test platform, ensuring it is scalable, flexible, and robust enough to support our growing portfolio of products. 

  • Drive Quality Throughout the Product Lifecycle: Represent the Testing Engineering team in the entire product development process. From defining initial requirements to the final validation and handover of manufacturing tests, you will be the voice of quality and testability. 

  • Achieve and Exceed Quality Targets: Your ultimate goal is to ensure our manufacturing processes are highly efficient and effective. You will be instrumental in driving initiatives to achieve operational excellence. 

 

Your Background: 

 

We are for a candidate with a strong technical foundation and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. The ideal candidate will possess: 

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electronics or a related field. 

  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating your coding and automation skills. 

  • Proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of industrial communication protocol 

  • Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems. 

  • A strong command of the English language, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and troubleshooting at both the software and hardware levels. 

  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and basic knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Bosch) is a plus. 

  • A proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering. 

  • A goal-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic manufacturing setting. 

  • A passion for teamwork and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
