For our power electronics manufacturing plant in San Giovanni Valdarno (AR), we are looking for a Shift Leader who will coordinate shift operations and contribute to achieving company objectives in terms of safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a Safety First culture.
  • Coordinate the production team, ensuring achievement of production targets and monitoring key KPIs, including OEE, Efficiency, FPY, Scrap, and Downtime.
  • Manage and promptly resolve operational issues, coordinating support functions to minimize deviations from targets and equipment downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Quality, Logistics, and Manufacturing) to ensure operational continuity, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure effective shift handovers, support problem-solving activities related to processes, quality, and equipment, and promote continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, 5S).
  • Manage team organization and development, ensuring adequate staffing levels, training, maintenance of Skill Matrices, and support for the introduction of new products and processes (NPI).

 

Your Background

 

  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Production, Industrial Management, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing environments, including previous experience in shift coordination or operational team management.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop people in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement methodologies, and structured Problem-Solving techniques.
  • Good knowledge of occupational Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to analyze production data and KPIs to support decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Good command of both Italian and English, written and spoken.
  • Availability and willingness to work in a multi-shift environment, including rotating shifts.
  • Previous experience in the automotive, electronics, or e-mobility sectors will be considered a strong advantage.

Compensation Package 

 

The employment framework is based on the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Metalworking Industry, with an indicative level of C2/C3 and a minimum gross annual salary starting from € 28.500,00.The specific level and compensation package will be defined based on the outcome of the selection process (including experience, skills set, and role fit), in accordance with objective, transparent, and gender-neutral criteria, in line with pay equity and equal opportunity principles.The total compensation package will also includes a variable bonus linked to individual and company targets.
