Based in Columbia, South Carolina we are looking for a Team Manager for the Product Lifecycle Management local team.

 

This role is based onsite in West Columbia, SC 

Target Salary Range for this role: $125,000-$145,000 Annual USD + bonus

In this role, your main accountabilities are:

  • Manage a team of direct reports to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions for EV chargers.
  • Ensure guidance and mentorship to a team with diverse competences (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Embedded SW) and seniority in order to enable high efficiency execution in very short to medium and long term activities
  • Collaborate with multiple supporting teams as needed to deliver solutions, ensuring the team's compliance with ABB E-MOBILITY standard processes, procedures, practices and safety requirements.
  • Engage with all relevant stakeholders and input givers including customers and internal ABB E-MOBILITY functions to ensure customer satisfaction and manage expectations.
  • Oversee work progress, identify and manage technical issues and drive the team performance to ensure timely delivery and high safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure that the Local team is adequately resourced, developed and equipped to meet business needs. Ensure correct assignments of tasks within the team, define relevant performance metrics.
  • Project-manage the development and deployment of engineering solutions, formulating plans and allocating resources to meet agreed operative targets.
  • Ensure transparency around change requests, unforeseen results/events and identified risks and ensure that they are properly managed and communicated. Ensure that all opportunities are captured and acted upon.

To make the above work, we need an experienced Engineering Manager

  • Master degree in Automation, Electronics or Industrial Engineering with 5+ years of experience in industrial environment, or Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years experience.
  • Previous experience in managing projects or teams
  • Product standard certification
  • Excellent knowledge English language. Italian is a plus
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and good written and spoken communication skills
  • Proactivity, teamwork skills, problem solving and result orientation will complete your profile.
